Sheriff charged after woman was shot
LAWRECNEVILLE, GEORGIA- A sheriff in the Atlanta area is charged with reckless conduct in the shooting of a real estate agent.
Clayton County sheriff Victor Hill left the scene without giving an official statement of what happened. Authorities say certain details Hill gave when he called 911 about the shooting raised questions about the circumstances.
The real estate agent, Gwenevere McCord is called a close friend of Sheriff Hill. The two were alone in a model home about 50-miles from where Hill's office is located when the shooting happened four-days ago.
McCord was critically wounded.
