The Assumption Parish Sheriff's Office is investigating reports of three people on an ATV shooting at people in Paincourtville.

According to Sheriff Mike Waguespack, deputies were called about a shooting at the intersection of Grant Loop and Sugar Street around 1:30 p.m. He said witnesses told them two male juveniles had been injured when three men on a red three-wheeler drove by and shot at them with a shotgun. One boy was just grazed, and the other had a shotgun pellet lodged in his arm.

Sources told News 2 the people on the ATV also shot at someone else as they drove out of the area but didn't hit them.

Waguespack said there hadn't been any arrests yet, and detectives are still at the scene investigating.
