Sheriff: Body found after Sunshine teen drowns
GEISMAR - Authorities say they've found the 17-year-old that went missing after going for a swim in a pond Sunday.
Deputies say Malcolm Calloway went missing around 4 p.m. after he never resurfaced from the water. According to officials, Calloway went swimming with a friend at the Parks of Dutchtown Subdivision in Geismar. His body was found about 2 and a half hours later in the same area.
Lt. Col. Webre with the Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office says the water was approximately 16 feet deep at its deepest point.
