Caddo Parish and Shreveport officials say one of the most expensive vehicles ever confiscated during a drug arrest in the parish will be auctioned April 10.
It's a 2010 Ford Shelby GT 500 Mustang with less than 5,000 miles.
It still had temporary tags when it was confiscated from Kevin Ray Chowns, who allegedly was carrying large amounts of methamphetamine in it.
Sheriff Steve Prator, District Attorney Charles R. Scott, and Shreveport Police Chief Henry Whitehorn say a local used car wholesaler has already made the minimum bid of $35,000.
Chowns is in the Bossier Parish jail on charges of possessing methamphetamine with intent to distribute it, illegally carrying a weapon and possessing drug paraphernalia.
He faces additional drug charges in Caddo Parish.
