Shaw inks deal to sevice power plants in Arizona, New Mexico
Baton Rouge- The Shaw Group Incorporated has announced it has signed a new contract with Arizona Public Service Co. to provide maintenance and construction services to eight fossil power plants in Arizona and New Mexico.
Shaw already holds a contract with APS to provide maintenance, modifications, construction and radiological protection services to its Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station, located 55 miles west of Phoenix.
The value of the three-year contract was not disclosed.
Shaw is a leading provider of power plant and nuclear maintenance, providing maintenance and modification services to 44 of the 104 operating nuclear power reactors in the United States, including the country's two largest nuclear fleets and largest nuclear power plant.
Headquartered in Phoenix, APS is Arizona's largest and longest-serving electric utility, providing electricity to more than 1.1 million customers in 11 of the state's 15 counties.
