Severe Weather: 2 confirmed deaths in Mississippi
Two Mississippi residents have been killed after severe weather tore through early this morning.
Benton County Coroner says a 25-year old and 26-year old who lived in a mobile home did not survive the storm. John Riles says "it looks like you stuck about four sticks of dynamite on it and it just disappeared."
Several other injuries were reported after the storm blew through about 2:30 this morning.
Lafayette County Emergency Management coordinator David Shaw has confirmed a death in Abbeville, located north of Oxford. He said the victim's house was blown apart.
The distance between the location of the fatalities is about 50 miles. Benton County borders Tennessee.
The deadly weather comes a week after 10 people in Mississippi and two in Alabama were killed by tornadoes.
