Severe Thunderstorms headed into Baton Rouge

Severe thunderstorms are moving up from the southwest to the northeast at 45 mph into Baton Rouge right now! These storms are capable of producing damaging winds in excess of 60 mph, large hail and they could even produce a tornado. The NWS has a Severe Thunderstorm WARNING out for the storms until 8:30 AM. Heavy rain is also possible with these storms.

A Tornado Watch remain in effect until 12 PM for much of the WBRZ Viewing area, and a Flash Flood Watch is in effect until Thursday 7 AM.
