The Storm Prediction Center has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch until 8 PM for Amite, Pike and Wilkinson Counties in South Mississippi.  These Counties are part of the WBRZ Viewing area.  The storms could contain quarter to half-dollar size hail along with winds 60 mph or greater.

The storms are coming from a squall line that is intensifying as it moves south from Arkansas and North Mississippi.  These storms may make it into Southeast Louisiana later this afternoon and evening.  Additional watches could be issued through the afternoon and evening.

Stay tuned for any severe weather warnings on WBRZ-TV, WBRZ.com, WBRZ and Meteorologist Dave Nussbaum's Facebook and Twitter pages and our Cable Weather Channel.
