The Storm Prediction Center (SPC) has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for the entire WBRZ viewing area until 2:00 PM. A watch means that severe weather is possible in the watch area.
There is a large area of thunderstorms over North Louisiana and Central Mississippi that is heading to the south. It will tap into a very unstable atmosphere and this could lead to some severe weather this morning and into the afternoon hours. These storms could produce damaging winds, large hail and have heavy rain.
Be sure to keep it tuned to News 2, WBRZ.com, WBRZ's Facebook and Twitter pages and our Cable Weather Channel for additional updates throughout the day.
