The Storm Prediction Center (SPC) has canceled the Severe Thunderstorm Watch for Ascension, East Baton Rouge, East Feliciana, Iberville, Livingston, Pointe Coupee, St. Helena, Tangipahoa, West Baton Rouge, and West Feliciana Parishes and Amite, Pike, and Wilkinson Counties in Mississippi.

The watch is STILL in effect until 2:00 PM for Assumption, St. James and St. Mary Parishes in the WBRZ Viewing area.

The storms have weakened below severe limits and are not expected to be severe this afternoon.  However, a few storms could still be strong with heavy rain and gusty winds at times.

Meteorologist Dave Nussbaum will have a full update coming up on News 2 at Noon.  Be sure to check it out!
