Seven arrested after meth lab bust
ASCENSION PARISH - A meth lab has been taken down and seven arrests have been made after a month long investigation into illegal drug activity in Ascension Parish.
The Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office says the arrests came from surveillance by the narcotics division of a residence they had gotten a number of complaints about.
Two vehicles leaving the residence at 18700 Beechwood were detained on a traffic stop. Detectives say they were able to recover methamphetamine, heroin, drug paraphernalia, handguns, and a shotgun.
Four people were arrested at that time: Jennifer Wagley, Tracy Bare, Brandi Donaldson, and Ryan Phelps.
Several days later, a search warrant was executed at the residence. Detectives say they found two active meth labs, along with methamphetamine, marijuana, pseudophedrine, hydrocodone, clonazepam, xanax, adderall, and one handgun. Three more people were arrested: Patrick Kleinpeter, David Bare, and Lori Bailey. Jennifer Wagley was arrested again.
Those arrested face a variety of drug possession and distribution charges.
