BATON ROUGE - The Baton Rouge Metro Council approved a $100,000 settlement for 92 protesters that were arrested during the Alton Sterling protests.

The money will be paid in equal parts by the City of Baton Rouge and law enforcement agencies.

Each person will receive $230 in damages and bonding fees will be repaid. Protesters sued the city after being arrested during the protests, including Black Lives Matter activist DeRay McKesson.

Cash bonds will be returned without claimants having to pay the cash-bond-return fee of $100.

Expungement fees will also be waived.
