As we move into the mid-point of the work week, a cold front will arrive in the viewing area bringing with it some rain showers. While there will be some spotty showers through the weekend, the news isn't all bad. Clouds and rain behind the front, plus a second cold front with a reinforcing shot of cool air behind it will mean once we say goodbye to the 80s on Wednesday-- they likely won't return for the week ahead. Yes, that means a stretch of below average temperature days alas after an above average fall thus far! As for the statistics, I did look back and find the last time we saw 7 straight days in the 70s. That last occurred on April 1-7 earlier this year. Whether or not we rack up 7 straight days below 80° will be a close call.
