Services set for two murdered in bank standoff
ST. JOSEPH- Funeral services are set for this weekend for two bank employees who were killed by a hostage-taker in Tensas Parish Tuesday night.
LaDean McDaniel and Jay Warbington were shot inside the bank where they worked, the Tensas State Bank, by Fuaed Ahmed, 20, a local whose family owns a convenience store in the small central Louisiana town. A third hostage was released, unharmed, hours before the situation took a violent turn.
McDaniel's family released a picture of her Thursday evening.
Ahmed's standoff lasted about twelve hours. Authorities said he was intent on killing and never planned to rob the bank of money. He told negotiators he had a device implanted in his head by his ex-girlfriend's family.
