Serious injury in crash; Alcohol and drugs suspected
ST. FRANCISVILLE - State Police say alcohol and drugs are suspected to be a factor in a two car crash on Saturday night.
Police say the two cars collided at approximately 10:45 pm on La. 969 north of La. 66 near Angola State Penitentiary in West Feliciana Parish.
Officials say Raoul Cavalier, 66, was traveling northbound on La. 969 when he crossed the center line into the southbound lane, where he collided with Alan Perry, 34.
According to police, Cavalier was air-lifted with serious injuries to Our Lady of the Lake in Baton Rouge. All parties involved were properly restrained.
Police say Caviler is suspected of alcohol and drug.
The crash remains under investigation.
