Series of church burglaries, man arrested
BOSSIER CITY- Bossier City police have arrested a 27-year-old man on burglary charges for breaking into at least five churches over the past several weeks.
Some of the churches were burglarized multiple times.
The churches included Barksdale Methodist Church, Waller Baptist Church, Bossier Church of Christ, Bossier Church of the Nazarene and Korean Presbyterian Church.
Some of the stolen items included computers, food, and tools.
Detectives say Michael Floyd Lewis was identified as a suspect after in a recent residential burglary.
Lewis was booked into the Bossier City Jail Monday on nine counts of simple burglary of a religious building.
He was also booked with one count of simple burglary.
No word yet whether Lewis has an attorney.
