Semi collision closes rural Louisiana highway
NORWOOD - Highway 67 south of the state line was closed Wednesday evening as State Police worked a crash involving two 18-wheelers.
Authorities said little information was available shortly after the wreck, but did describe the crash as being a "serious injury" collision. The wreck happened about a mile or two from the state line.
Highway 67 is a rural, two-lane highway that connects Clinton to Liberty, Mississippi. After crossing into Mississippi, the highway becomes Hwy. 569.
"The road is shut down because there are logs and diesel fuel all over the roadway," Jared Sandifer, with Louisiana State Police, said.
