Second LSU student arrested after NO shooting
BATON ROUGE - Police at LSU arrested a second student in connection with a shooting in New Orleans.
LSUPD arrested Nathan Andrew Yuhas of Pennsylvania yesterday afternoon in suspicion of principal to attempted first-degree murder. He was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison as a fugitive from New Orleans.
Investigators detained Yuhas this week while searching for Nicole Boover, an LSU student from New Orleans that police said had fired several shots at her mother and tried to kill her on Monday. LSU Police said they were told Boover had fled her home with a male acquaintance, and found Yuhas with her vehicle when they located it in Baton Rouge.
After arresting Boover, LSU Police interviewed Yuhas and provided the information to NOPD investigators, who got an arrest warrant for Yuhas.
LSU Police said the incident is still under investigation by NOPD, but no further arrests are anticipated.
