BATON ROUGE - Sheriff's deputies announced a second arrest in connection with a deadly shooting during a drug deal last week.

Deputies arrested Julius Thomas, 23, on suspicion of first degree murder Monday evening. They previously arrested Jarvis Fleming, 21, also on suspicion of first degree murder.

Detectives said those two men took a third to a trailer park Friday night in East Baton Rouge Parish for a drug deal. They said the men intended to rob the person selling the drugs, 26-year-old Donald Walls, but shot and killed him in the process.

Investigators said the other person with Thomas and Fleming was also shot, and is still in the hospital.

Deputies are continuing their investigation into the shooting and said more arrests are pending.
