Second arrest made in camp murder
PLAQUEMINE - The Iberville Parish Sheriff's Office said they made a second arrest in connection with the execution-style murder of a man at his camp earlier this month.
Sheriff Brett Stassi said detectives arrested 26-year-old Darrell Georgetown, Jr. of Plaquemine for allegedly giving a ride to the suspected murderer and assisting him with attempting to get away with the crime.
Deputies arrested Detrell Scott, 22, on suspicion of first-degree murder and armed robbery on May 7, hours after the victim was found dead at his camp in Iberville Parish.
Investigators said Georgetown is charged with accessory after the fact to first degree murder and obstruction of justice in connection with the death of Kye Boudreaux.
