SEC top star talent scheduled to appear at media days next week
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The top stars of the SEC will be on hand next week in Birmingham to talk about thier teams and the 2013 college football season.
Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel, South Carolina defensive end Jadeveon Clowney and Alabama quarterback AJ McCarron will represent their teams at Southeastern Conference media days.
LSU will take the stage on the final day of questions and answers with quarterback Zach Mettenberger, receiver Jarvis Landry and safety Craig Loston making the trip representing the purple and gold.
The league on Wednesday released the roster of players attending the three-day event in Hoover starting next Tuesday.
Manziel, who won the Heisman Trophy as a freshman, will address the media on Wednesday. Clowney, who finished sixth in the Heisman voting, appears on the first day.
Manziel, McCarron and Georgia's Aaron Murray are among nine quarterbacks scheduled to attend.
Two-time defending national champion Alabama will also bring All-America linebacker C.J. Mosley and guard Anthony Steen.
