Search is on for stolen sacred statue

BATON ROUGE - Police asked for the public's help finding a stolen Jesus statue in Baton Rouge.

Cpl. L'Jean McKneely said the marble statue was taken from Roselawn Monuments on North Street over the weekend.

McKneely said the statue is 60 years old, weighs about 500 pounds and is valued at an estimated $15,000.

Police ask anyone with information to call them at (225) 389-2000.
