SCOTT - Authorities say a Scott man was arrested after allegedly biting a chunk out of the face of an acquaintance during an attack on Saturday.

Police say 43-year-old Carl Jacquneaux attacked Todd Credeur in Creduer's front yard.

During the melee, Jacqueneaux bit a chunk out of Creduer's face, Thomas said. He described the fight as a domestic dispute.

Police arrested Jacquneaux later at a home in nearby Carencro.

Police say they suspect Jacquneaux was under the influence of drugs but can't say with certainty because a blood test was not performed when he was booked into jail.

Jacquneaux was being held Wednesday in the Lafayette Parish Jail.

Credeur was treated and released from a hospital.
