Ken Hilton and the Scotlandville Hornets earned their first win of the season tonight, beating Southern Lab 20-14.

It was a game full of turnovers from both teams but not a lot of scoring early.  In the first half, Southern Lab was forced to punt but Scotlandville's Kortland Harmon had the ball stripped.  Malcolm Caldwell for the Kittens inside the red zone but the drive would go nowhere.

The Hornets were up 6-0 with two seconds to go in the first half when Kajandre Domino punched it in from one yard out to give Scotlandville a 12-0 lead at intermission.

To add insult to injury, Scotlandville tacked on a safety when Lab QB Michael Roach dumped off a pass to Gabriel Smith in the Kittens' own end zone.  Linebacker Henry Taylor delivered a vicious tackle on Smith to give the Hornets two more points.

Southern Lab scored two touchdowns late in the game but it was not enough as the Scotlandville defense held on when it mattered most.

Scotlandville was reeling after two straight losses including a 56-18 loss to Lutcher before tonight's victory.
