Scivicque takes SEC Co-Player of the Week honors
BATON ROUGE - LSU senior catcher Kade Scivicque snagged an early award just as the season is gearing up, receiving the SEC Co-Player of the Week recognition from the league office on Monday.
Scivicque shares the award with Buddy Reed of Florida. He batted .545 and contributed a double, two homeruns, four RBI, fives runs and a .538 on-base percentage to the Tigers' cause as they swept Boston College in three games over the weekend. It was the first multi-homer game for the senior.
So far this season, Scivicque is leading the team with a .500 hitting average.
