BATON ROUGE - At the moment, schools in the greater Baton Rouge area plan to start their week normally. Like many things with tropical storm Isaac, though, that could change.
Representatives from East Baton Rouge, Ascension and Livingston parishes all said they plan to hold school Monday as normal, and make a decision about Tuesday after more information on the path of the storm comes in.
Ascension and Livingston parishes are under hurricane warnings, while East Baton Rouge Parish is under a tropical storm warning.
Earlier Gov. Jindal said LSU and Southern officials discussed the storm and would make "campus by campus" decisions based on what's "best for their students."
Isaac is currently and tropical storm, and forecast to become a strong Category 2 hurricane by the time it reaches land. Recent storm tracks have pushed its path west along the Gulf, including more of Louisiana in the potential wake of the storm.
