BATON ROUGE – Police are warning drivers that all school zones across the city will be in full effect and strictly enforced starting Wednesday.

The 20 mph school zones will be in effect between 6:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. then again from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. unless otherwise noted.

Drivers traveling near Dalton Elementary School and Celerity School should note that school zones near those schools will have differing times. Also, classes at some private schools in Baton Rouge will also resume this week.

Baton Rouge Police said that school crossing guards will be out early Wednesday morning. Motorists are urged to use caution around school and bus stops.
