BATON ROUGE - Administrators said a private school was locked down Tuesday morning after law enforcement responded to reports of an armed robbery at a Baton Rouge bank.

Sheriff's deputies said a bank robbery was reported just before 11 a.m. at the Capitol One Bank on Bluebonnet across from the Mall of Louisiana.

The sheriff's office said the robber had a gun and fired one shot into the ceiling. No one was hurt, but the robber fled with an undisclosed amount of money.

Administrators for the Family Christian Academy said they went on lockdown as police and sheriff's deputies searched the area for the robber. The school remained on lockdown for about 45 minutes until normal school operations resumed earlu

The sheriff's office said surveillance video showed the robber was a black man in his 20s with dreadlocks who was wearing a Saints beanie-like hat along with a gray shirt and jeans. Investigators said the dreadlocks may have been fake and attached to the hat.
