Scattered showers and a few thunderstorm are moving across the Baton Rouge area this morning ahead and along a cold front. Some of the storms could be strong at times with gusty winds, heavy rain and some hail. Otherwise, it is mostly cloudy and warm with temperatures in the 60s.
The thunderstorms will come to an end this afternoon as the cold front moves through Baton Rouge. Behind the front we will have mostly cloudy skies with a few spotty showers. High temperatures in the mid 60s will actually occur this morning and then they will slowly fall into the 50s behind the front this afternoon.
We will become mostly clear tonight and it will turn much colder. Low temperatures will be in the lower 40s.
