A strong disturbance and another cold front will move into Louisiana from the north this afternoon. They will set off scattered showers and thunderstorms through the evening. Some could be strong to severe at times with damaging winds and large hail. SPC has placed all of South Louisiana in a Slight Risk for severe weather. The greatest chance of seeing severe weather today will be along and south of I-10 and 12. Otherwise, we will have a mix of sun and clouds with highs in the mid 70s.
The showers and storms will continue through the evening hours with mostly cloudy skies. Temperatures will fall into the 60s.
The showers and storms will end overnight, and it will become mostly cloudy with only a slight chance of a lingering shower or storm. Low temperatures will be in the lower 50s.
