Saving Hasselhoff signs leads to injury
SHELTON, CONNECTICUT- A convenience store clerk went to the hospital in critical-condition after trying to stop the theft of two signs featuring images of actor David Hasselhoff. Authorities say he saw a man put the cutouts in his SUV and then was hit by the truck and dragged and landed on his head. The clerk's name wasn't released and police are looking for the thief. The Hasselhoff signs feature him advertising iced coffee.Hasselhoff starred in the TV shows "Baywatch" and "Knight Rider". The convenience store chain says more than 500 of the signs have been stolen from stores in recent months.
