PRAIRIEVILLE – With heavy rains passing the Baton Rouge area, officials in Ascension Parish say pre-filled sandbags are now available in several locations throughout the parish.

The Ascension Parish Office of Homeland Security said they are working to with APSO’s 911 Central Dispatch Center to remind residents that the sandbags are available.

The sandbags are only available to Ascension Parish residents.
