Saints' White praised after replacing Robinson
METAIRIE - Saints third-year cornerback Corey White is drawing praise from defensive coordinator Rob Ryan heading into Sunday's game against Minnesota.
White took over at right cornerback for Patrick Robinson during last Sunday's loss at Cleveland after Robinson had struggled early in the game.
Robinson was moved to nickel back for the remainder of the game.
Ryan calls White "an ascending guy" who "knows what he's doing."
Robinson says the in-game demotion was hard to deal with, but that he expects to learn from it.
Ryan has not said whether intended to put Robinson back in his base defense against the Vikings, but stresses that Robinson plays a tough position because it's plain to most observers when a cornerback is beaten.
