Saints undefeated with some of the best performers in NFC

The New Orleans Saints improved to 7-0 on the season with a 35-27 win over the visiting Atlanta Falcons. Only the 1991 Saints began a season with as many wins.

According to NFL individual statistics released Tuesday, the Saints have some of the best performers in the National Football Conference.

Saints' signal caller Drew Brees is ranked second behind Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rogers. Through Monday's game, Brees has thrown for 2,006 yards and 16 touchdowns.

One of his favorite targets, Marques Colston, is rated the NFC's ninth best receiver with 36 catches for 551 yards and 6 touchdowns.

The Saints' Pierre Thomas is ranked the NFC's 10th best rusher so far this season, gaining 405 yards on 70 carries with 4 touchdowns.

The Saints host the Carolina Panthers Sunday afternoon in the Superdome.
