Saints taking critical look at first win
METAIRIE - The New Orleans Saints are taking a critical look at their first victory of the season.
While they're relieved they've finally won after a pair of close loses to open the season, they're not entirely happy with how they played in their home opener against Minnesota.
New Orleans, which has yet to win on the road, next plays this Sunday night at Dallas. When the Cowboys review the Saints' latest performance, they'll see the Vikings preventing a Drew Brees-led offense from scoring throughout the second and third quarters.
They'll also see a Saints defense that isn't getting sacks or turnovers at the rate it had hoped.
Saints coach Sean Payton says his team has done a good job steadily addressing deficiencies, but has plenty of room for improvement.
