Saints sign TE Ben Watson
NEW ORLEANS - The New Orleans Saints today announced the team has signed veteran tight end Ben Watson to a three year deal.
Watson comes over to the Saints after three seasons with the Cleveland Browns. Last year he started 14 games and caught 49 passes for 501 yards and three touchdowns. The former New England Patriot first-round pick fills a need at the tight end position after David Thomas was let go after a season where he struggled with a concussion.
Jimmy Graham and Michael Higgins are the other two tight ends currently on the Saints roster.
The team also announced linebacker and special teams standout Ramon Humber signed a one-year deal to stay in New Orleans.
