Saints' Morgan says he's learned from DWI arrest
METAIRIE- Saints wide receiver Joe Morgan says he understands he made a mistake when he was arrested for drunk driving.
He says he's thankful that no one was hurt and that the Saints have given him a chance to prove he can learn from the experience.
Speaking after Thursday's mini-camp practice for the first time since his May 26 booking, Morgan says he does not want to discuss details of his meeting with coach Sean Payton after the arrest, but described it generally as being "chewed out."
He says he appreciates that teammates treated it like a family situation, inquiring to make sure he was fine personally. He says they also made it clear that he let them down.
Morgan is a third-year receiver who caught three touchdown passes last season.
