Athens, Ga. - The New Orleans Saints confirmed they'd be talking sometime today to the University of Georgia's defensive coordinator for the same position.

The University of Georgia confirmed Todd Grantham was in New Orleans today interviewing for that spot.

Saints head coach Sean Payton also said in an interview during last night's Hornets game that Grantham would be one of three candidates being interviewed to be the Saints' new defensive coordinator.

Payton said former Dallas Cowboys defensive coordinator Rob Ryan would be in New Orleans on Friday, while an unnamed candidate would be in early next week.

The Saints expect to name a new defensive coordinator sometime next week, and several media reports say Ryan is the man targeted for the post.
