Saints fans out in full force for training camp
METAIRIE - It was blistering at the Saints practice facility on Airline Drive for the Saints' opening day of training camp, but that didn't stop fans from celebrating Christmas in July.
From Sean Payton's return from exile to Rob Ryan's new 3-4 defense, the 2013 Saints have the Who Dat Nation fired up.
"We got our coach back. That's all we need," said Elvis Tunkins.
"I think Sean Payton is flying under the radar," said Keith Liccardi. "If anybody thought he was sitting back last year while he was suspended, they got another thing coming."
The fans also expressed lingering frustration at the fallout from last year's bounty probe, but said it could propel the Saints to even greater heights.
"There's fire there, ain't no doubt," said fan Damien Lacayo. "They're not going to say it because all you're going to do is give reading material to the rest of the NFC South and the NFL... What happened to them last year was egregious."
