Three puppies born at the SPCA in Livingston Parish were given names of Saints' players this weekend. Bell, Payton and Shockey (all female) were born from a basset hound named Lucy.
The puppies are said to be basset hound mixes.
It will be at least six to eight weeks before the puppies are ready to be adopted, according to Terri Dunlap of the SPCA.
On Feb. 13 the Livingston SPCA will host a jambalaya dinner for the Women Outreaching Women program at the Walgreens in Walker. They will also have a tent set up for dog adoptions that day.
