Russia detains U.S. journalists for investigative workshop
MOSCOW- Two American journalists were detained and sent to court for teaching an investigative journalism workshop in St. Petersburg, Russia.
Joe Bergantion and University of South Carolina professor Randy Covington were taken into custody for a few hours as they began teaching the course.
The Migration Service in Russia says they were found guilty of "violating the visa regime." Both are in Russia on a tourist visa and were told they can leave as scheduled on Saturday.
