Running groups organize "Baton Rouge Run for Boston"
BATON ROUGE - Runners are banding together for those affected by Monday's Boston Marathon bombing.
Saturday at 8 a.m, eight Baton Rouge area running clubs will participate in a 2.62 mile run in support of the bombing victims.
The course begins at the steps of the state capitol and runs through downtown Baton Rouge.
There is no fee to participate in the run but Iberia Bank will accept donations that will go into an independent account to aid victims.
Three people died in the explosions and more than 170 were injured.
