Rumors of Miles to Arkansas floated and debunked
BATON ROUGE - An on-line report by SportsbyBrooks reported Tuesday afternoon that the Arkansas Razorbacks are engaged with agents of Les Miles, and that a contract offer of $27.5 million dollars over five years is on the table trying to lure the LSU coach to Fayetteville.
However, Miles' agent George Bass denied the report, saying "there's nothing like that going on."
LSU's Sr. Assoc. Athletic Director, Herb Vincent, also downplayed the report. "We don't comment on unsubstantiated rumors," he said.
Miles and his Tigers just finished the season with a win over Arkansas to wrap up the year with a 10-2 record and are awaiting their bowl invitation which should come at the end of the week.
Four SEC schools are dealing with vacancies after dismissing their head coaches; Auburn, Arkansas, Tennessee and Kentucky.
Kentucky officially hired Mike Stoops to take over the Wildcat program earlier today.
