Rowdy concert crowd, state cops hurt
EAST RUTHERFORD, NEW JERSEY- Eight New Jersey state troopers were hurt and 60 people were arrested during a melee outside MetLife stadium after a hip-hop concert Sunday night.
The people were arrested after they tried to climb fences and get past security guards trying to get into the sold-out Hot 97 Summer Jam Show. Police were also pelted with bottles so they fought back with tear gas and pepper spray and noise generators to disperse the crowd.
Those arrested face charges ranging from assault to disorderly conduct and even weapons possession.
