DENHAM SPRINGS- State transportation leaders are planning a roundabout for a busy intersection.

Engineers said Thursday; the traffic circle will save time and cause fewer crashes. It's set to be built at the intersection of Hwy. 190 and Eden Church Rd.

But, not everyone is on board with the plan.

"It works well in vacation areas like Arizona and Florida," said Wendell Pepper. "But, in a high volume area with mixed traffic. It's not the answer."

The roundabout could be complete by the end of 2014. More are planned for other areas.
