LIVINGSTON PARISH - Drivers on Hood Road in Livingston Parish are having a hard time driving down the road.

They said, someone is throwing roofing tacks in the street, putting holes in the tires. One gas station owner told News Two he sees dozens of people coming in to his store, complaining about the tacks on Hood Road.

Neighbors living on Hood, say they know someone is loading their road with tacks, and this problem isn't knew. They had the same problems nearly a decade ago. Now it's starting again.

"Maybe 30-40 feet from my driveway we hear this tapping sound we get out and it's a roofing tacks." Evelyn McCormick said. She said her husband called the cops after her second flat tire.

Ten years ago, buses stopped running on Hood. Post Office workers and even police units would not drive down the street, fearing for their tires.

For now, the Sheriff's Office can't do much. They need proof that a specific person is throwing the tacks on the road before they can hold someone responsible.
