Roofing Enterprises Inc. operation manager Guy Huffine told the St. Helena Police Jury he will shut
down work on the St. Helena Parish Hospital roof unless he is paid.
Huffine told the police jury this week that the parish owes $213,590 for work completed to date.
Jury President Thomas Wicker says St. Helena Parish doesn't have the money becauseFEMA has not released the money.
Parish Office of Emergency Preparedness Director Harold Stallworth said FEMA wants cost comparisons showing the bid amount as reasonable because Roofing Enterprises was the sole bidder on the project.
