HOUSTON - Mitt Romney will talk economics today in a rare appearance before the NAACP, the nation's oldest civil rights group.
The black organization has largely backed Democrats, but Romney hopes he can sell a message that his policies would be better for blacks, who have an overall unemployment rate of 14.4 percent.
That's considerably higher than the 8.2 percent national average rate of joblessness.
