Robbery suspect killed in shootout with New Orleans police
NEW ORLEANS - New Orleans police say a 21-year-old man died in a shootout with police following the robbery of a Dollar General Store.
Police Superintendent Michael Harrison says the suspect was leaving the store through a back door Tuesday night when police arrived and shots were fired.
Harrison says the suspect died at the scene.
He says a second suspect, a 23-year-old man, was taken into custody.
