Rob Krieger - Multimedia Reporter

Rob Krieger is a multimedia reporter for News 2 Louisiana. He officially joined the WBRZ team in January of 2009.

Rob grew up in Abita Springs, Louisiana, but was born in Long Beach, California.  He attended Louisiana State University, where he received his Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications with an emphasis in Broadcast Journalism from the Manship School of Mass Communications.

“It's great to have folks like Rob who have grown up in this state and understand our values.  He's a hardworker.  I'm glad he's part of the WBRZ News 2 team,” said News Director Chuck Bark.

Krieger chose to become a journalist because his grandfather, who was a reporter in New Orleans, inspired him. Before coming to work for WBRZ News 2 Louisiana, he wrote for “Tiger Weekly”, and reported for Tiger-TV.  Krieger also interned for WWL-TV before starting with WBRZ as an apprentice in June 2008.

While at LSU he played on the lacrosse team, and won a Mark of Excellence Award from the Society of Professional Journalists.

Rob currently resides in Baton Rouge with his wife.
